Wed night Addie decided she wanted to be a robot, and the finished product turned out pretty good.
She was inspired by a costume birthday party we all went to the Saturday before - one of Etta's friends was a robot (with the added twist of butterfly wings).
Despite going to the costume birthday party, going to a school Halloween party, having class on Halooween day, etc they did not end up with much candy. Which is a good thing :)
On Haloween we let them go to our 4 closest neighbors houses who we know so they got a little of the experience. After they visited the first house I heard Etta doing big 3 year old crying. Her one piece of candy had fallen out of her basket and she could not find it. The world was ending! The neighbors heard her plaintive wail and offered a new piece. That brought a smile back to the ballerina :)
These pictures are blurry because the kids were on the move for a "costume parade" at the co-op party.
I went to Vallue Village to check out prices on new and used costumes. I ended up with the matching princess dresses which I intentionally bought big. That way they can wear them all year for dress-up.
