Willa's 3 month pics

Roar! I'm going to eat you!

Do I look taller if I stretch out my neck like this?

Christmas 2013

I dont have the time right now to post details with the pictures since Willa is crying.
I figure pictures now is better than pictures and words in a week ...or two.
So here is Walburg Christmas

Silly hair, silly nose

Her hair makes me think of little Cindy loo-who in the Grinch story.

The girls are using vast quantities of stickers to decorate a package before sending it off to their cousin

One of Santas little helpers?

ABC's

Addie still has a tough time with writing a few of her uppercase but knows the rest pretty well.
We need to work on lower case next.
And on having her count above 20 reliably well.
It really does not take that much time to work on these skills,
it just takes being intentional.
And sometimes I suck at that :(

A Tradition

Going to Seattle Center at christmas time has become a tradition for us.
We get to see the huge decorated tree inside, see the train and miniture village, listen to live perfromances, etc. This year we also spent a good chunk of time playing int he childrens museum. Which menat we did not have enough time to check out the outside stuff like the fountain and the ice skaing rink. But we did find a yummy new place to eat inside Seattle Center foodcourt called "Pie". Guess what it sells? Pie of course! Cute little individual size ones.
The girls loved the mac & cheese pie! They also had tons of sweet pies too.
The only thing that would have made it better is if hey served lattes with their sweet pies :)

Here are th girls in front of the tree last year (2011)

I did not see a 2010 picture, but this one is 2009.
It was the first year we went and Etta was in the Moby against me since she was only 2 months old.

Pregnant with triplets

She has the pregnancy thing down pretty accurate: slippers for the sore feet, tired look in the eyes, messy hair, lack of true smile for the camera, practical backpack, and
lightweight layering on her arms for if she overheats!

Sleeping

Ten minutes ago I was in my room folding towels listening to my three girls as they attempted to fall asleep. Willa did the occasional sing-songy talk to herself. I heard giggles and whispers of Christmas from Addie & Etta. Pretty sweet!

Addie & Etta decided they wanted to do a "slumber party" so they are in sleeping bags on Addie's bedroom floor. Before that they did (microwave cooked) smores in front of the (electric) fire. It was the first time we turned on the fireplace this season and I am enjoying its cozy heat. I have the feeling it will be making me very sleepy soon.

Speaking of sleep, Willa still sleeps a ton. If she starts to act fussy one of the first things Matt & I know to do is look at the clock. If she has been awake about an hour, chances are she is getting sleepy. So we set her in her bed with her little blankey lovey, and she will often be asleep within 5-10 minutes with very little fuss. This is true both during the day for naps and at night. There are still times when it takes more work on our part or she is loudly fussy, but over all she does an amazing job of putting herself to sleep. She also has done some amazing night-time sleeping. I knock on wood whenever I say that, because I know things can change fast with the sleep of infants. Last night I was up with her from 11-12 then from 1-2:30. But that is much less common. There has been more than one night where she slept from 9:30-6. Amazing! Especially with how much sleep trouble we had with Etta. I would love for her to get on some sort of nap schedule so her day-time sleep was a bit more predictable. And it feels like she should be awake longer stretches. But she is happy, she is growing, and she sleeps well at night so I know better than to complain :)
